Headed up to North Dakota today to pick up a stablemate for the 6.9...it's a gasser so I guess it will be a mixed marriage. Going to set it up for a few different options in the upcoming months.

Nice looking rides!!!

My granddad had passed and grandma wanted me to have his truck. It's an 83 and is relatively solid for it's age. New water separator, fuel tank, lift pump, injection pump, injectors so far. Next is the auxiliary tank, selector switch and some fresh brakes. She runs good and means a lot to my family and I.

New here, just picked up this 89 with a ZF-5. First order of business is all new fluids/filters and the addition of a coolant filter. I've been a diehard GM guy my whole life but since the 6.5/6.2 BLOW, and I don't like new stuff and have a penchant for anything mechanical I started looking around and found the 7.3 IDI and couldn't be more pleased.

Nice truck! I love that grille, I've never seen one like that on a bull nose. Did you make it yourself?

Thanks Golden Helmet .. yes i do love my truck .. she's been real good to me ..

yep .. i did make the grille .. i designed custom fiberglass production molds ..

i've been an autobody paint guy 10 years .. but i'm making custom F- truck parts now ..

here's my website

http://www.fordfab.com/

also got a new swap meet site started for used IDI & F-Series parts / like craigslist for Bullnose OBS trucks

My daily drive : I call it Hobart (named after the big mixers I grew up around)
1993 E350 7.3 IDI E4OD

I got it about a month ago - paid 1850 for it.

Replaced broken injector line
relubed fuel return lines, replaced a few leaking o-rings
cleaned/painted/replaced injector vibration clamps
pressure washed/cleaned engine, underbody
pressure washed interior
replaced front rotors, calipers, pads, bearings
replaced vacuum booster

I'm using this vehicle to learn how to work on these vehicles, so I can build my project vehicle - which is a 4x4 e350 7.3
