A buddy of mine has a 95 suburban diesel, are there other trucks/suburbans that this drivetrain would drop into easily? Any gas truck manual transmissions bolt up and stand upto the diesel?
Thanksin advance

They have the normal small block Chevy bolt pattern. So if it can take the power, bolt it up.
They are rare, mid 90's Tahoes had them.
Full sized blazers had them, half tons had them.
Really it's just slightly bigger than a 350, but heavier.

On my 79 Chevy, I didn't even have to change the motor mounts.

Any really. I used a sm465. Bought a new flywheel from advance auto, and reused the clutch from the 350.

The nv4500? Was used also.
As long as it's from a small block Chevy, it'll work. These don't put out too much power.
Or if you get it from a big block, you can usually just get a small block bell for it.

Your saying to pull the auto, and replace it with a manual?

If so, haven't seen many people do it in the burn's.
But that body style shouldn't be too much different than doing it in a truck.
Of course you'd need a clutch pedal from that era truck. And IIRC, should bolt right in.

Anything can be done.
If anything, may need to mod the shifter a bit.

Most all of the auto's put behind these were pretty good.
