Smoke from the air filter?

It's an odd smell, just a little but lasts for about 2 min after I turn the engine off and I can only see it if I pop the hood, so it's not a lot of white smoke, kind of like cigarette smoke.

Crankcase blowby vapors coming from CDR. Completely normal to an extent. A high mileage motor may have excessive amounts of blowby (exhaust gasses escaping past piston rings, valve guide wear, etc.).

Well there ya go.. A perfect reason for the "smoke". No worries. If it runs well just run it.
