Routing transmission cooler line questions

I am installing an external transmission cooler on my 727 equipped D200. The factory lines run to the radiator and back to the tranny. Is it better have the fluid run through the external cooler first then through the radiator or the other way around?

I would recommend runnning it through the stock cooler then through the add on cooler.

That is how I have always done it. I was thinking if I do it the other way the fluid would heat up a little bit when it hit the rad.
