HF has the fan clutch tools for removal. It's a left hand thread, turn it on Clockwise to remove it.

I've used one of those vice-grips-with-chain. Works like a charm for solidly gripping round-ish things with a lot of force.

Alternately, you might try rigging something up that uses the 4 bolts to hold it - even just a piece of metal with 2 holes that go over two of the bolts.

3 lb hammer and large chisel.Give her a good whack and she'll break free.

I agree with White in post #4.I would rather use a good used, oem motorcraft than I would a new replacement. If it's not broke, don't fix it.I had a new motorcraft fail in short order.A reman is holding up ok now though.Parts are just not made like they used to be.

Success! Came down to a big a** pair of channel locks and a crowbar.

The leak was with the water pump and I'm sure the bearings are bad too. So maybe no more squeaky squeaky!

We used RTV with the gasket, do we need to let sit or is it ok to run?

If you used plain rtv, I would wait.
If you used rtv with the gasket, probably be fine.

Funny...not 1 recomendation for rtv....perhaps because it can mess up the oil cooler bad?

The ****** berries can break off inside and clog the oil cooler tubs thus effectively making it useless.

I used rtv;Poke
But i used a suuuuuper thin bead and let it cure for a day or two before filling up with coolant

But i could see the ****** berries being an issue
