So from my searching, it's apparent that my truck didn't come with a plastic rear tank. Though it has it. Lol
I'm trying to find a new oring and lock ring for it to no avail. I guess maybe chassis cabs aren't "in the system."
Would it be a bad idea to seal it with rtv?

Well I just went to fordparts.com to search for diagrams with part numbers and may have found it. E99Z-9A307-A
Now to see if it's the same, and in Stock anywhere. Crosses to the vans, Rangers, and Mazda vehicles.

Already have one. Lol
And being chassis cab, normal tanks are too wide.
Got the ring ordered. We'll see if it's correct tomorrow.

Probably same size then.
19 gal, I think.
Don't know if it's right or not, but I think I heard psd runs different resistance than the earlier trucks.

incorrect, 2002SD uses the same resistance as the brick/OBS.
15-175 I believe
changed in 05
went through this on the current build.

Interesting. Thought I read that on here before because someone was asking if powerstroke sending units were the same.

all depends on the tanks,
but from my research, the ohms are the same

I was lucky enough to find that rear tank

Hmm. It was probably all speculation, and no one had actually tested it. Lol

Meant to update sooner.
Tank still leaks. I think it does have a hole in it. It'll leak until the tank is below 3/4.
I'll pull it sometime.
If I do a larger rear tank, I'll reroute the exhaust to exit in front of the tire. Doesn't bother me any. Lol

At least from 88-97 tank sender diameter is the same. Older ones have smaller diameter hole in tank for sender. Diesel senders only have two wires, no fuel pump in tank.
