I am installing a stereo amplifier and was curious if it made a difference which battery I powered it from, driver side or passenger side battery. Anyone know, I would like to hook it up to the driver side battery.
Appreciate any help.

It doesn't really matter. What you have is one battery in two places, so connect to which ever is best for you. Make sure the cable clamps are clean as well as the grounds.

the only thing you need to be concerned about is to run your amp power wire on the opposite side of your RCA's

Also, on the newer trucks, Ford does this from the factory. On my 6.0, there is a larger wire, like 6 or 8 gauge, with a ring terminal that bolted to the drivers said positive battery clamp (one of the stamped clamps with a stud on it, which failed and has been replaced with a lead terminal and is bolted to it). This lead powers most of the cabin electrical. There's a similar setup on the passenger battery that is most of the under hood power.
