I just picked up a 91 cummins power Ram 350. Its been sitting a while and needs some work but starts right up and runs pretty well down the road. I needs the window motors fixed and the headlight switch is bad. But I drove it 50 miles how without any problems.
I believe it has 3.07 gears due to the dana 61f in the front of it. It pulls strong but could use some more fuel.
I bought it from the original owner who had ordered it direct from chrysler. It is not intercooled but will be soon when I disect the 92 I have posted in an earlier thread.
I was wondering what transmission usually came behind these motors. Being a 91 it looks like it could be a 727 or a 518.
Also, the body is in good condition except for the cab. How hard is it to fix or would it be better to do a roof swap off of a clean truck. The other cab I have is clean on the roof but a bit rusty on the rockers.
What would you guys recommend for a lift. I have a nice set of 38s I plan to use so Im figuring I need at least 6inches. Then I need more fuel to make up for the lack of gearing lol. I may try and get an underdrive to help it out off road.
