I have tested the theory on the loss of MPG with Optilube. I tried to triple dose and see if I get more regens... Nope... I tried to put in 8 times the recommended, and no loss.

What I have found is that I get about a 1/2 to 3/4 mpg increase using the directed amount and no gain using more. For me, I like the peace of mind knowing that my fuel pump is happy and my injectors are clean in lubed.

My TDI has a DPF so if anyone was to lose mpg's with a bad additive, it would be me.

I have no purchased 4 gallons through the link I posted, for me and friends. All the orders have shipped the same day and the customer service has been great from DFL and from Optilube when I have had questions.

I am a newbie here - as of today. I have a 92 E350 4x4, 7.3 and the Optilube folks are in my neighborhood. It is my choice for the lubricity it provides.
A local shop here has put in his 3rd test bench for pumps & injectors (going from 1 to 3 in 5 to 6 years) and it is his opinion that the LACK of lubricity
in ULSD fuels is the direct culprit.

Regards, David
