As most of you know we discovered our "3000 mile, drop in and go" engine has atleast one blown head gasket. It leaks a pretty good run of oil out of the back corner by the exhaust manifold. My question is, is it possible to over torque that bolt a few more pounds to try and slow the leak down? Is it even a good idea at all? I dont want to crack the head. If these were aluminum heads, I know what Im asking is a BIG NO NO, but these being cast iron is it a possible bandaid solution to get it by for a while? The head doesnt leak any water, just oil.
