    had a little rust issue
    [IMG]

so we married a 92 firewall to the 73

we are building the car hauler to carry the Rampage

This 92 is my girl friend's truck
    she fixed it up
5 speed with 11 foot bed

    I helped her with
u-joints, tires, brakes, change fluids and filters, etc.

she did the sanding and paint, stripped the interior, pressure wash the carpet/install
remove the 8' tool boxes from the bed
    [IMG]

    and she replaced windshield
    [IMG]

use it for haulin the tractor/mowing the farm
    [IMG]

going to the river, 500gal water for the garden
    [IMG]

Then we added the "Ram" head on the hood
and a home made tire carrier

and a storage box, (was an airline food tray carrier)
Now used for chains, tie down straps, jumper cables, flags, wide load sign.

last thing was add an extension to the exhaust
to keep from dis-coloring the mud flap
    [IMG]

    Some days
help move or haul airplane parts.

New to the site and new to the world of owning a 12 valve

My truck it a 79 gmc crew cab dually, been planning this build for bout 7 years(divorce screwed it all up) just aquired a 12 valve ffrom a school bus.ID tag reads 8 of 1989. Will use for moderate towing, some highway but mostly in town. would like to see 300 to 400 pony's from it. Engine had bout 160,000 on it and run like a clock. Gotta love the ol 12 valve. Still undecided on the trans. allison 1000 is way out of budget and dont want a stick so prob go with some taller gears, tires and use the 545 allison for now

Just joined! 1990 w250 with 93000. Bone stock, original red over white. Bought it from my Dad 17 years ago. The white trim was pealing (very typical), so its in the shop getting the white re-shot. Awesome old truck. I've towed 9000lb loads from California home to Wisconsin twice no problem! 14 mpg at 55-60. Not bad for the stock 160 hp! Its got the three spd auto with 3.09 axels. Three solid days on the road, and your pretty well beat to death though!

91 4x4. Searched five years for it. Didn't want computer-controlled injection. 300,000 kms and going strong. Changed front brake lines and rear U-joint. Power steering pump seems to need topping off quite often. Gonna drive it until one of us quits. :_)
