So I have been going through my new to me 92 F250 ext cab with a e4od. I have replaced the shift cable and the neutral safety switch and it is still very difficult to place into gear and harder to place back into park. I have taken the shift cable off the trans and the shift lever is free and easy. Put it back on the trans its the same thing again. I can shift the trans by hand. I also pretty sure the reverse lights have something to do whit this. I am at a loss, I have done everything I can think of short of getting into the trans. Does anyone have an idea?
