Is your timing at factory marks with the new IP?

Does this happen more in colder weather? Might your pre-heater be burned out, or its relay not working?

Any smoke when you crank? What color?
Is your KSB hooked up right?

Had a Case Poclain excavator (6BT) that was a bi*** to start when cold. KSB wire had broken off at the plug, fixed it and fired right up no matter how cold it was.
