I have developed a ping in my engine without a miss. it occurs primariliy when I have pulled a railer down the highway. Here are the sysmptoms.

It seems to occur in 1 cylinder only.
It occurs at just over cracked throttle. For instance after removing the foot off of the floor and getting back into it.
It doesn't seem to be related to speed or engine RPM.

I fueled up and put in some Lucas fuel conditioner, and it went away until my trip back from Raystown Lake with the 5er. Talk about a slow pull up South Mountain. How's 35-40 sound. -cuss

I was originally thinking an injector, but because it happens so regularly at throttle position, I'm thinking IP. It on'y has about 25K on it.

What's Yer thoughts boys????

Most likely a leaky injector. The IP really can't be faulted since it treats each cylinder the same way, and could really only produce a retarded pulse on one cylinder if it was to do it at all.
