Not sure if everyone saw the "10 years of Power Stroke" in this month's Off-Road Adventures. (It is the 4 Wheel Parts magazine.) I know, its not IDI, but still interesting. They mentioned that Ford has produced 2.5 million PSD. 1060 engines are produced each day at the Kentucky plant.

Back to IDI, looking at the numbers on the first generation PSD, a slightly modified turbo'd IDI should be able dust the first generation PSD.

I didn't see that article...but, in case you're interested, here's an article from the same magazine covering the '83-'87 6.9l.

I'll have to see if they have the PSD article online... {on edit} Found it!

I did a search to see if they did a history on the 7.3l IDI; if they did, I missed it. :( Too bad, though; otherwise, they'd have a complete history of Ford diesels...

Nice articles. Fairly representative of things, but both filled with technical inacuracies.
