I've always referred to them in their Gens (generations) IE 92-96 would be Gen 9...just like how you have them numbered.

I do not agree with nick names for any of these trucks, year ranges work JUST fine in my book, and stupid names actually cheese me off.

x2 over on my forum we just refer to em as the years (92-96), (87-91), etc...kind of reminds me of the whole big block small block thing

On the Superduty (99-Up F-250 throught F-550, and not the 97-Older F-Superduty) I agree, there have been several subtle changes over the years. For Example:

Some Early 99's Had the Power Stroke V8 decal on the fender behind the marker light (but not all were this way)

Some Late 99, 2000+ Had the Large Power Stroke DIESEL V8 "plaque" on the doors (but not all, see above)

Early build 99's had the "Power Stroke V8" emblem behind the marker light. Late build 99's and newer had the badge on the door.

Also 99-02 5.4 powered pickups had a Triton V8 emblem behind the front marker light. After '02 the V8 badge was dropped. The 6.8 V10 powered pickups still carried the badge in the same position until '07. The 08-10's had "Triton V10" incorporated into the fender badge.

I have always called the "Triton" era trucks. The "Pacer" trucks because they remind me of a Pacer....

From the great age of the fabulous 40's

I don't think I've ever heard a nickname for the '53-56 trucks but I swear I've heard the '57-60 trucks called "Square nose"[/QUOTE]

for the 53-56 trucks ,,,Fat fender

I have always heard Bullnose for the 80-86. Brick nose for the following generation (the ugly one) and OBS for the 9th gen. Just to continue to the better sales figures of the bullnose compared to the brick bose.
