So took my pump and injectors manifold etc off to have them rebuilt. I was an idiot and left the keys in the ignition and my drunken buddy hit the starter and the engine spun around a few times. So basically I can guess that my alignment etc for the pump timing is all fuggered up now.... fun fun. how can I realign it without taking the whole thing apart?

As long as you didn't go as far to remove the pump drive gear, the pump has a gear to alignment dowel that should allow proper alignment. The gear should remain aligned with the cam gear.

Nice! I was wondering about that. Yes the gear inside the timing cover I left intact I just removed the three bolts and that bolt through this gear and took the pump off.

so as long as I get the dowel lined up in its mating hole on the gear there should be no way to screw that up correct?
