We are selling our 2003 VW Jetta TDI. We have some interest from somebody who lives down in California. Does this car meet there emissions standard?

Doesn't matter if it does or not. The car is 4 years old and cannot be banned from entry into CA since it has been registered out of state and will be purchased as a used car. Tell them to contact a local DMV for Verification, but it should not be a problem.

Besides that I, believe the only diesel that was NOT available in CA from VW was the TDI Touareg.

only in 2005-2006 (not sure about 2007) you could not buy or bring in a new (under 7500 miles) diesel passenger vehicle. if its got more than 7500 miles on it, its a passenger vehicle and a DIESEL then it is fine and is exempt from ANY vehicle emissions tests. they wont even look at it to see if the egr, cat, etc.. are there.
