Hey Guys...

I am getting a 2002 F350 7.3L auto 4X4 tomorrow....

It currently has 4" exhaust and an air intake, but no chip/tuner

I have been reading and like the results from DP tuners....

I am just not exactly sure which files to fo with...

80 econo for sure....
60 or 80 tow???
then either the 100 or the 120 performance...

Anyone here running these and have input??

thanks!
Bob

Well Mr. Bob, get a 6 position chip and have them all, just make sure your guages are in working order so you don't toast something.

Enjoy Jody's tunes they are

Not trying to trash a product I never used but I had heard there were idling problems with DP chips. May just be an '03 & up thing though. Of course I have a TS chip with Idle problems, so maybe DP is better.

No problems with the DP chip files, just the TS blanks defaulting to the #1 setting, that is why Jody and Diane came out with the F-5 chip... No more jumping programs.

I noticed in your sig you have a '96. What do you know about DP Tuners on 99-03 7.3's? Those are the ones I'm told have idle problems with the DP chips.

THERE IS NO IDLE PROBLEMS with the DP chips... There were ISSUES with the TS blanks that EVERY tuner used. They will default to the #1 setting (most put a hi idle setting there). Jody had a new chip made that eliminated this issue. They are the only one to have FIXED a problem.

There is NO issue with there tuning.

I misunderstood what you said before. I didn't know everyone used the same blanks. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Wrong, Tuners have a differant set of paramiters... more of a 2d where a chip is 3d... Just a fact of the set up...
