I have an 83 F250 with dual tanks,I picked up a new sending unit for an 85-86 F-250 and a new fuel tank for an 83 F250...apparently the hole for the sending unit was smaller by a decent amount in 83 versus 85-86.

The rear fuel tank is a Spectra F1C, anybody know if you can run an 85-86 rear tank which is the Spectra F1D in the 83?

They look the same except for the sending unit hole is larger for the F1D tank

I don't think the frames or mounts are anatomically different. That looks like the sender I bought for my truck. Well one of them. It got two new tanks and senders.

Nice, no reason not to do a new sender, who wants to drop a tank more than once
