im in need of a 92 fuel tank for my dodge. i bought it and it came with an 89 tank in it and the sending unit went out and they arent made anymore. so i cant tell how much fuel i have. at all. is it common to blow the soft plug freeze plugs out of the block? what do i do for replacement?

to replace a freeze plug all you do is get a new plug and get a socket of the correct size and tap it in to place.

As for the fuel sender have you checked with LMC to see if they have picked up those in their product lines.

As far as the fuel tank itself, I'd recommend a junk yard trip. LMC may be a good place as well. Also check out JC Whitney. They have a lot of parts and they may have what you need.
