Welcome to the forum. Please tell us what Banks turbo you have. they made a few different styles. Mine is a wastegated sidewinder turbo. the filter comes off the housing by a large hose clamp. If I had to guess you have the early turbo with the huge square air filter box sitting on top of the engine. If thats what you have there are many bolts holding it to the intake and a hose behind it too that you have a difficult time seeing or working on. Best I recall is you remove the top. Take out the filter element. Look for the internal bolts and remove them. Don't recall how to reach the hose on the back side. Many here have done this before so hang on till an expert with this chimes in.

Yikes..

Ok this should be fun.

That lame hose on the back is best handled by putting a section of wire around it so you can pull it into place while cursing Gales memory!
