A few of the holes in our low mile 6.9 have some rust in them and one is really bad. Is this bad? Or is it somewhat normal? Does it mean anything?
We're off to town to get a steel 12 or 10 ga shotgun bore brush to clean them out.
Let me know if there is something seriously wrong here.

It most likely means that someone forgot to use antiseize compound on the threads last time. Those things go in a way before the threads start and it's kind of a catch all for water to pool up so spray collects and works its way around. A good coating of antiseize will prevent that moisture from rusting the metal away next time and they will come out nice and easy and clean.

I've seen them a lot worse than that, and would consider it normal.
