is there any chance the CDR could stick open?
if it did would notice a increase in oil consumption?
i just bought one so i can switch it when i change my oil.
the old one can be cleaned, correct?then you should swap them back and forth between oil changes, correct?:thanks:

Well as you can the CDR is normally OPEN and only closes when you have enough vacuum/pull from the intake (air cleaner side). Also from the picture you can see that the diaphram inside is rather thin so you want to be careful in whatever solvent you use that it does not attack rubber, or use anything that has any great force to it (pressure) because once you break the diaphram your done.

Here is a close up of the diaphram on mine when I switched to a Road Draft Tube (meaning no CDR just ran a hose from the crankcase to the outside world under the truck, then plugged the hole in the air intake system).
