So whist browsing the local adds I found this, I called and it's lost 4th gear and that's all that seems to be wrong. I'm going to look at it and the owner said it had a diesel I6 so I'm assuming cummins.

Smokin deal. Hard to be a price like that. It looks like the pre-93 hood on it. If it really is a 94, then yes, it would probably be a Cummins 5.9. Of course, there's a slight chance of it being a Cummins 8.3 too.

I checked it out, the trans was trashed. Somehow while going 50 it got put into reverse, also the Exhaust manifold was craked in half and the intake was diconnected from the intercooler which tells me they have been using starting fluid. They could not get it to run but it did fire when they dumped half a can of starting fluid in it. I said I'd buy it for 1800 and rebuild the trans "if that was possible" and have them put the trans in it so I can drive away. They said no, I'm going to pass on this.
