I have a 97 gmc 1500 233,000 on the clock drove it 1600 miles for MN to NC with no problems got home and it cuts off going down the highway.
it turns over but no start.
the speedo was bouncing like a tach when starting with out running.
but its not doing it now.
the tach does not move when starting.
i've got a new fuel filter.
i got 6psi from the lift pump.
it had a new ss diesel pmd and heat sink when i got it.
i sent it to walt at ss diesel and it tested good.
tested the fuel cut off solenoid its working.
it got 12v to the pink wire at pmd. its got 1.5v at green wire terminal A
the crank position sensor ohms the same as a new one
unpluged the cps no start
unpluged the optical sensor no start
checked all the ground cables i can find and fuses
no fuel at injecters!

Do you mean that it quit as you finished the trip (you didn't even reach your house)? /Or do you mean that it suddenly quit working a few days after you arrived home? Did you replace the fuel filter before the trip home, or after you arrived?

First, turn the key on, then provide 12vdc power to your frame-mounted lift pump. Take loose the fuel return line located on the top front of the IP. With the key on and the lift pump running, fuel should flow out of the fitting at the top of the pump. No fuel flow out means that no fuel is flowing in. Check for air in the lines.

Second, if you have fuel flow out of the return fitting, reinstall the hose. Now, loosen a fuel injector line at the back of the IP. Have a buddy crank the engine and watch for fuel spurting out of the loosened connection. No flow here means either a bad IP or a bad PMD.
