So adding a leaf in the front gave you that much lift?? What did the add a leaf look like was it for you truck? Or just a curved leaf spring you added to the pack? I have a "load leveling" set of spring and I though about adding one of them to the front to remove a leveling kit I thought was a good idea at the time lol being as my springs look almost like a flat bar right now I thought maybe adding one of these leafs with a slight curve would lift it up some?

I added brand new front leafs and an ad a leaf. Should mention though, the truck already has a 3" body lift to help clear the turbo without hammering out the firewall.

Today yanked the gas tanks to prep for painting the rear of the frame. Also knocked out about 20 lbs of dirt.

Decided both of Anna were rusted junk so I ditched the side tank for now and ordered a 38 gallon rear tank.

Today I yanked out the e40d and mounted my questionably Pitts transfer case to my zf5.

One question on the rear main seal, dies this piece come off of the crank???
Last pic.

I was about to say, "if it's not leaking, I wouldn't worry about it."
But that's kinda scary looking. Lol

Yeah I'm really not sure. It's leaking but just barely. So I'm leaning towards running it for now. Are miot transfer cases the same size? I'm going to need to have my drivelines modified and I don't want to do them twice when I replace it.

I'm not sure what miot is. Lol
But if you mean same between auto and zf5, then yes.

Haha. Stupid autocorrect. "Both" I ended up replacing the transfer case with a refurbished one that actually has a provision for the speedo cable my 87 body requires.

Now I'm going about the business of finishing painting the frame and fix leaking oil pan before I pop in the zf5. I'm so close to getting this thing moving yet so many little things to do.

Finished the 38 gallon gas tank swap today. Extended the pick up and extended the float. Also shortened the long t case shifter from my e40d so it will hopefully work with my zf5.

Pulled the steering column and seats and carpet today in prep for the zf5 swap.

I find it much easier to access the pedal assembly with out the seats and carpet in the way. Also frees up the trans tunnel area.
Not to mention give me a chance to give the interior a good wash

Hopefully everything bolts up easy and goes smooth tomorrow. Wish me luck.
