7.3 IDI turbo cold starting problem

Thanks to all and pappy19 it does have a block heater and I located the plug. It was in front of passenger side battery. We are supposed to get low 20 degree F temps this weekend. Should be a good test. Thank you!

You should not need a block heater at 20 degrees F. Yes, it is much easier on the engine if you use one in the winter, but something else is going on with your truck if you need a block heater at that temperature.

Hydro idi, may not need one. Just had that one incident so far. Its precautionary at this point. Just because its a 23 year old truck.

19 degrees yesterday morning, block heater plugged in, cranked right up. :)
