Our local high school has a project where they make biodiesel for one of there busses. A friend of mine who is a coach there bought an 82 1/2 ton chevy to take advantage of some of their extra diesel.
He has had the shop class working on it (a really bad idea) and since they replaced the ip his shift points have been off.
Are the shift points controlled by the throttle on this truck?
It is an o/d tranny, the truck has hydroboost brakes so I am assuming there is a throttle linkage somewhere for the tranny.
Can anyone tell me how to adjust it?
Thanks

ya the tranny has a TV cable that connects to the IP similar idea of a 727 if its shifting late and hard that’s ok get it adjusted when convenient but if its early and sluggish GET IT FIXED NOW it will kill the transmission. Just take it to a transmission shop they can do it in a few minutes and probably for free, its simple to do but I have never got it bang on so I just take them to a shop
