Yep agreed.

I believe the stock max is ~30lbs. I think it will set a Check Engine Light at 32PSI. I don't currently have a boost gauge on my 6.0

Sounds right, 26~28lbs.... Depending on mods.... You can easy run over 30lbs with a stock turbo BUT I dont recommend it. Keep it under 30... JMHO

The stock turbo unloaded sees right around 24 pounds of boost threw the computer signal. I have seen 28, but only on trucks with a bit of intake and exhaust work. The turbo does just fine above 30psi all day long, though I would keep it under 35 pounds.

My fat F550 (16,000lb all day every day) will put the gage to 30lbs going up a mountain. Thats the highest I have ever seen it go.

I run a stock 2008 F350 6.4L and the gauge on the dash goes up to 40 lbs of boost... not to say it actually throws that much boost.

the 6.4 is completely different, having 2 turbos, and the international maxxforce 7 (your 6.4) at 300hp will see every bit of 36 pounds, so I could imagine the fords could see 40.

So my 06 f550 service truck may have something wrong with it then? It's weighed 20-22k pounds since it got it a year ago, and I've never seen more than 20 lbs out of it. I even went to and from North Dakota with my trailer at a combined weight of 28,460 lbs, and on the passes it held right at 20 lbs.
