Was driving down the road running fine then power went away then a cloud of white smoke. It's smelled like diesel.

It's a new rebuild on the motor.

Correct. You never know.
But right now I would be leaning towards a fuel problem. Double check the injectors. Check fuel pressure.

I'm going to do a leak down test and have the injector tested make sure they are fine.

Should cummins have about 2psi before the injector pump like 7.3idi or higher?

Ok well its doesn't want to start anymore just when back and check timing it's off from the pins. Going the pin on the motor lined up the injector pump pis is way off

Well try to start it this morning it was not cold but it didn't want to fire up or even hit a beat.

So check the timing on it it looks like the pump is a whole 3/8 of an inch off advanced so maybe that's the problem.

Could not change the timing had to get a coil for my other 5.9l cummins it didn't like running on 4 cylinders
