1986 f250 "ZukiTow"

going to see if I can get it started in the next few days..... Bought it last year, wrecked in rear, replaced Bell Housing and new clutch and rebuilt trans.. Stabbed trans and tcase but so much to do as soon as I determine engine condition... Any advice on 1st start up in several years ? Other than warm her up 1st ?

do you have a 1/2" drive 15/16" socket? if you do, put a shirt extension on the socket and a breaker bar and "bar" over the motor. this get sedentary parts moving again, and is much gentler on the motor than just hitting it with the starter. after that, put in some fresh batteries and go see what happens.

batterys are holding charge I implemented last night. Good idea turning the motor.. I need to check a 4.3 in the yard might as well do both. Thanks for the suggestions..... Gonna shoot for tomorrow. I also want to check block to see if heater is operational..
