03 running issues

Im trying to help out a friend with his 03. The truck will run at idle, will tach up when not under load and die when the pedal is let off. It is not throwing any obd codes, I can manualy run the transfer pump with my solus, it has fuel, the obvious has been checked. the truck will die at idle when put in gear also.I am planning to take my fuel pressure at the filter housing tomorrow, it acts as if its starving for fuel. filter is good, no air in fuel etc. any help would be appreciated thanks, Gary

Check Lift pump pressure. A bad lift pump will also toast the VP44.

I intend to today, i also have learned that this was run on bio fuel, local homebrew stuff. I have ~2500 psi rail pressure at idle.
