    Used the tp38 since it was cheap and flows good on compressor side. Ebpv was retained to use as exhaust brake, and warm up valve, have yet to try it though.

    I built a full custom set up with a 96 powerstroke turbo, works great, fast spool, good bottom end torque. I put a .84 ar exhaust housing on it, makes 7 psi at 1500, 12 psi at 1800, 15 at 2050, and max 23 psi at 2800.

    Think I killed the IP

    How long have you cranked it? Ive had the power wire come unhooked on my carter pump. It caused the truck to have no power and then shut down. I hooked the power wire back up and it fired up again. I would think even with a bad injection pump it should still produce fuel at the injector lines.

    Sounds like the dual mass flywheel is shot. Take the flywheel inspection plate off and grab the pressure plate (in neutral), and see if theres rotational play between it and the ring gear. I believe over 1/2 inch is worn.

    I think I paid 60 bucks for the pressure test and $1000 for sleeves and sleeving. Use the melling hardened sleeves as they will last longer.

    The best way would be to pull it down to the bare block and have a diesel machine shop pressure test the block. Then if it leaks have it sleeved on all 8 holes.

    Hydroboost pushrod interest

    For the brake pedal issue I just drilled new holes lower on the booster bracket for the studs to position the booster lower on the firewall and put the studs in the new holes for the 250 pedal to work.

    Could you post a video with the engine being revved up slowly, and with quick blips of the throttle. Doing that helps to determine if injector, or bottom end, or rod.

    My old 7.3 non turbo had the same tick. I figure its the ip like damac, as tick comes and goes. It also doesn't get any worse and goes away when revved hard or at higher rpms, so rod or bottom end must be out. My new full rebuilt 7.3 turbo also has that tick but quieter so it must be normal.

    The water I think was boiling since the overflow had some good action going on in it, and came close to overflowing which is 1.5 liters over normal.     I had driven for 20 minutes slowly and the temperature had climbed slowly from new cold to hot and the engine light came on. I fired it up cold in the morning at the campsite and there was no coolant smell in the smoke and no bubbles in rad.
