Thanks lotsagoodstuff,
I was building a S-47 2 wheel drive trans for my cc dually, when I stumbled on a great deal on a S-42 from a 460 7.5. It's a 4x4 with transfer case so I will now have super low 1st + transfer case Low in my 2 wheel drive truck! I went to 3.55s in the rear so this combo...
Well,I just got a chance to go through and take a good close look and let you all know what I found. To say I am ecstatic would be an understatement!! The Disc is a Duel 10 Spring and measures 12.25! Yes! The pressure plate and disc are both stampeded FW...Could that stand for Fort Worth...
Oh yes,the vanishing receipt! Not to long ago I pulled some out and they were all blank, parts store had them on file but I like having my own. I suggest you make a copy of them and save those. As far as the liberal replacement policy it is smart marketing, think how much advertising cost them...

I am replacing the old T-19 with a S-47 I am rebuilding. Problem is the ZF has no place for a Speedometer input. I have an 87 2 wd CC Dually and I do not want to loose the speedo!! Any Ideas would be welcome.
Put one from e bay on last year, condenser was good quality and cooled better than the factory unit. Napa sells whats called Freeze 12 works just like 12a. except it's cheep. I am in Georgia and it's all working great for over a year now.
Ryder Truck parts has the best deal on Cab Lights. I purchased a new complete set for 31.69 inc shipping. Cab Marker Light Yellow, 25760Y, Truck-Lite. Hope this helps.
A couple of thoughts, you can gut the thermostat and that will answer that question. Also is it possible that your cooling system is getting air bound somehow at the higher road speeds, that would keep the water Pump from circulating the Coolant.
I have a cc Dually with a N/A 6.9 with a T-19. The 4.10 pinion gear decided to let loose (common with short Pinion) So I installed a new set of 3.55's, all I can say is,it was the best thing I could have done. The Truck drives so much nicer now! I have an S-47 with the 5.08 1st gear I plan in...
We did just that on an old Dodge Dakota one of my employees had. We put a grand national turbo on it. I was shocked how well it worked. truck ran awesome. Just cut a hole in the cast iron manifold and Welded a pipe off of it. Worked is all I can say!!:dunno
