    OK, I admit I've been driving automatic transmissions for too long...(E4OD's and C6's). found an '89 F250 4x4 with a manual trans... but folks here seem to despise the dual mass flywheel. Why? Didn't some bright young engineer at Ford think it was a better idea? So...looking to educate myself...

    '94 hood release

    steering lock...how to defeat?

    6.9 into a '96 F350?

    can I replace the 7.3 P/S in a '96 with a 6.9? interface issues? mechanical/electrical? will the PCM be looking for sensor signals that are no longer there? more pain that it is worth? thanks,

    axle ratio?

    my '94 F350 IDI non-turbo crew, E4OD, 235-16 tires, has 4.10 gears. Typical service is highway driving, no load, just a driver. Thinking of going to 3.54 gears to improve fuel economy. Seems like 3.08 would be a BIG change. What did the factory offer in these trucks? What do others use...
