    Easy money on both of those. Lock-stitch pin them and you're done. I've done several dozen 53 block dodges that cracked. The old IDIs are just as easy. Last one I did we used a steel plate to replace the block heater and stitch-pinned it in place.

    Looseing Coolant Issues

    I was dealing with the same issue and it was that my cap was too weak. Factory is a 13lb cap. I was loosing coolant regular with no signs. Finally got mad and bought a 16lb stant lever cap. No more coolant loss and the trucks running temp dropped 5 degrees. Win on all fronts as far as I'm concerned.

    For Those Of You Who Have Done The 6.9 Flywheel Swap.....

    Get the clutch setup for an 87 f350 with 5 speed. What I did for one of my trucks and it works fine. All the parts are made to work on the 6.9 flywheel and zf combination. Luk part number is 07-076 and is 130 bucks from pepboys if you have one in your area.

    My power steering pump is other wise occupied with it's extra capacity. I have a 5 gallon reservoir mounted on the frame and a ball valve mounted under the hood to the pressure line running to the back of the truck. I don't need anymore hydraulic lines under my hood then I already have there.

    I got a small air tank from one of our buses and plumbed it as a vacuum reserve. It's maybe a one gallon tank but it is made of actual steel not some converted tin can. Cruise works great and my old vacuum boost master stops the truck with ease.

    I feel your pain. I've swapped 18 starters out in the last month. 10 of which were in the same truck because the guy who owns it is an idiot. Did you know if it doesn't start just keep using the starter till it either starts, kills the batteries, or fries the starter. I could have killed him...

    Advance Auto Radiator Cracked Again

    Last radiator I bought for one of my trucks was in the 87 before the Texas move. Was a copper-brass unit from AZ. Paid 150 bucks for it out the door with my discount. Never had a leak. I look at what is out there now and realize I'll be having my units repaired for years to come.

    Rear carrier bearing issue. How does this even happen?!

    Bad carrier bearing for sure. Just before I pulled the auto out of my 91 it spit the rubber out of a brand new carrier. Swapped it out on the side of the road in about 45 minutes.
