FS: 2004 Ford F250 orange/black Harley Davidson Edition in central PA

Good condition, just inspected, check out the ad. This is a nice looking truck and has served me perfectly! Located near Lewisburg, PA. Price is negotiable. http://williamsport.craigslist.org/cto/4382118923.html Also would consider partial trades for an inspected gas pickup, extended...

    Waste gate dumping???

Yes that has been in the plans since our purchasing of the truck! Will it hurt to run with my egr unplugged for a little? Hope to do the delete soon... but have just purchased a new home, and winter is soon to be creeping in, so don't know exactley how soon soon is. Don't really want to waste...

    Waste gate dumping???

So far.... unplugging the egr has seemed to have fixed the problem (though I won't be convinced until I run it for at least two weeks to see if it has stopped). It seems to run much much better "cold", and hasn't had a hick up yet in the last two days. Sorry for not believing you tbird, I just...

    Waste gate dumping???

Cleaning my turbo was following the link '94IDIturbo7.3 posted as a reply in the beginning of this thread. I also removed the egr valve, cleaned and inspected (I know this doesn't mean that it can't be failing). I guess what I've read about egr deletes are not true, that they can be unplugged...

    Waste gate dumping???

Tbird.... yeah we should chat! Send me a pm and I'll let u know what's been going on. Or I can call u in person(that's easier in this case then typing what's going on and my findings). I'm curtain its a FICM problem but not a "bad" FICM problem .... just trying to get some verification before...

    Waste gate dumping???

I'm sure by what my 6.0 has been doing that the FICM is the problem. The injector issues I have seen (and that friends and my employer have had) tell me that it is not the same problem but similar. I am 99.9 percent sure that the FICM is the cause!! Just not sure if I want to spend all the money...

    Waste gate dumping???

Update to my thread: Though initially I believed the turbo cleaning worked (it definitely helped a great deal though!), the problem did not completely go away. It has been back to the same and sometimes worse conditions. With all that I have learned about these creatures since last fall when...

    Waste gate dumping???

Well I cleaned it up this weekend and so far so so good! It "coughed" twice on the first drive to work real quickly, other then that has been flawless and seems to be working correctly. And has a ton more power. I think some much needed fuel conditioning should clear up anything else. Now I'd...

    Waste gate dumping???

Thank you 94idi! Haven't heard of the de-fueling thing but I'll do a little reading on it. And I thought the 7.3 was confusing to go to after the 6.9idi, then I go to the 6.0...lol

    Waste gate dumping???

Does it while driving around between 1600 to 2100 rpms I'd say, only while light on the throttle. If you get on it its fine, or if hauling a good bit of weight its fine, only seems to do it when its not being worked. Occasionally it will kind of fall on its face if you try to stand on it when it...

Passes PA state inspection just fine, and we are supposed to be one of the toughest inspection areas in the usa. Sorry to hear you think the price to vehicle shape is not within each other, not sure what you are seeing to make you think so cause the truck is in very good shape. Thanks for...

    Reverse light problems

Well I thought it was just the fuse... but I guess the ole saying "if a fuse blew, there is a reason" holds true. They worked until the inspection mechanic looked the truck over, then the fuse would blow almost instantly when put in reverse. Ended up being the wire from the switch back to the...

    Reverse light problems

The plug on the trans was covered, not the fuse block... just thought I'd clear that one up before the comments started :)

    Reverse light problems

Like I said... jumped the gun. That's all it was the fuse, I started elsewhere instead of the simple solution. I wasn't aware there was a fuse under the hood for that, I thought that would have been on the inside block. Guess all the steering fluid that was leaking before must have shorted it...

    Looking for an IPR

Thanks, that was the problem. I replaced them recently as I said, but they were both ripped, and the backup ring was missing all together. CAT is the cheapest place I found them if anyone is ever in need of them. A qwuik google search can find you the CAT part numbers, or if I can find them...

    air in fuel system

Got the problem fixed! My father-in-law [the new owner of the truck], came up and ran a new line from the tank switch valve to the lift pump. We also found a flaw on the flaired end [pressure side] coming off the lift pump and re-flaired it. Whichever of the two it was, it fixed it!

    Reverse light problems

I'm having problems with the reverse lights on my 97 OBS. They have had problems in the past with not working, but was always the plug that goes in the trans coming loose. The plug appears fine this time, but am not getting lights, and bulbs are good. I'm jumping the gun a little posting this...

    Looking for an IPR

Well I got it fixed! Never expected, after the short time since I chased the oil leak, that the o-rings would be bad already. Guess it's cause I found out they gave me the wrong backup o-ring last time? The backup I was givin to put on last time was a simple low pressure o-ring, and not a true...
