    Removing belt tensioner

Just got off the phone with them, I have the 111 inch and its just shy, there parts catalog is showing that the 113 is for the ambulance package, I don't have that, but I think thats the belt I need. Of course, its not in stock. Cant look at the old one, that thing probably has had the numbers...

    Removing belt tensioner

Thanks, I had no idea the tensioner came off that easy...should have had this project done days ago knowing this...Now that I got a shiny new one on, the belt I got from auto-zone isn't fitting, it is routed correctly, but seems to be an inch or so short of going around everything. Did I...

    Removing belt tensioner

Last weekend my serpentine belt tensioner let go, throwing the belt off in the process. It looks as though the guts of the tensioner have broken, but its still on the truck. I think I need to take off the large bracket that holds the power steering pump to access whatever holds the tensioner...

    1994 glow plug relay

Just an FYI for anybody that finds this in a search. Part #GPR7 fits and seems to be working. Truck fires right up, something it hasn't done since I bought it 3 years ago...guess I should have spent the hundred bucks on glow plugs and this relay then...

    1994 glow plug relay

My issue is the terminals on the new relay don't match the old one that I removed. Is it possible that a 94 IDI uses the relay from an older model, whereas the 94 powerstroke uses a different one? Maybe Advance has the wrong part number? (impossible I knowLOL)

    1994 glow plug relay

I have a 94 F-350 7.3 Non turbo IDI. Trying to reconnect a wire to the glow plug relay, I broke a terminal off. Looked it up on advance's website, and ordered part GPR11. Go to town, get it, get home, and the 2 Large terminals are 90 degrees off from where they are on my old one. The 2 Small...

Cracked compression nut on fuel line

I'm in Harrisonburg Va. I'd gladly pay a few bucks for the line... Whats the best place to source an injector? One of the dealer guys on here? Thanks...

Cracked compression nut on fuel line

I got around to replacing my fuel return lines and glow plugs today. Apparently, somewhere in the process, I must have overtightened the fuel line on the rear passenger side. The compression nut is cracked, and I fear I stripped out the threads on top of the injector. When the truck is...

    Been using ether, replace GP's?

I never waited, I'd turn the key on, pop the hood, and hit it. Now I know that was the wrong thing to do, live and learn. Pretty sure its not doing the rapid clicks, just one click after 10 or so seconds when it turns the WTS light off. Does that mean I have a bad controller? If the...

    Been using ether, replace GP's?

Here's another newbie question. I've been using a shot of ether to start the truck pretty much since I got it a few years back (its not a daily driver, probably got less than 100 cold starts on it). I always used a very short spray and that was sufficient to get it going. I'm replacing return...

    Leaking fuel onto engine

If thats it, will I need to replace lines and o-rings or just the rings? What are they called and where can I get them? Searching napa and advances website doesn't bring up anything for fuel return line. Thanks for the quick replies.

    Leaking fuel onto engine

I have a 94 F-350 with the 7.3 IDI. It has about 265,000 miles on it. It doesn't get ran much, only to haul trash/wood/trailer and such. I noticed the other day that it had some fuel sitting on top of the heads as if the injectors or something in that area was leaking fuel. I don't have a...

dont think my glow plugs are working

i've got a 94 f-350 with the 7.3 IDI, non turbo. when i turn the ignition on, the wait to start light comes on, but i dont get the "clicking" and the amp gauge bouncing like i've seen most fords do. however, the truck usually starts fairly quickly, there have been a few times when it will...
