    Extra fuel tank

There is nothing illegal with the the way yours is set up Kevin. But a gravity feed from a aux tank into the main tank is illegal in most states.

    Extra fuel tank

I believe in most states, if not all of them, free flow is illegal. That's not to say it can't or hasn't been done. It should have a seperate pump. That's how Transfer Flow tanks work. It senses the level in the main tank and pumps from the aux to fill the main back up. There is a vent on the...

    Center floor console

Here's an idea. Check out www.galls.com. They sell all kinds of stuff to police, fire, and rescue. They have the racks for mounting radios and switch panels in patrol cars and fire trucks. You may find one there that you can use for the CB and make a panel for switches and gauges.

    Leather Seats

I use Lexol too. I use the cleaner first and then the conditioner (heavily on the steering wheel). I try to do it every 3-4 weeks. That reminds me....

    Painting side mirrors

OK. He said painting the mirrors and handles is no problem. Most of the better brands of automotive paint (PPG or Spies Hecker) have enough flexability in them to paint plastic. He said it must be done in at least two coats with sanding in between. The first coat fills the plastic to make it...

    Painting side mirrors

I forgot to ask. I should talk to him in the next day or so. I thought about painting mine, but I found some billet door handles so I got those. I probably leave my mirrors alone. I ask him anyway.

    All Brands South/Central Texas Meet

I'm up for something like that. I was going to PM Curtis Harris on the other site and see if they have anything in the works for the next Texas rally. I'd like to see all of us put our heads together and come up with one BIG event for this region that has the same level poularity of May Madness...

    Short shifter - anyone using?

Shouldn't. All it does is shorten the throw between gears, so if anything the shifter wouldn't get as close to the radios as it does now. Unless, of course, I don't understand how your stuff is laid out.

    Painting side mirrors

The paint has to be mixed with some flex agent in it to help it adhere when the plastic flexes. The problem with using Krylon is that it may be hard to get a good color match (plus you'll want clear on after and you still need to buff to get a nice finish). If you want it done, take it to a good...

    lift pump question

Mike's truck has something like 115,000 miles on the original lift pump. My 98 crapped the bed long before that. I'm afraid to touch it. If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is. Let's get the F.A.S.S. on it this spring.

    Anyone from Texas?

I was planning on leaving Thursday noonish, drive 8-10 hours, stay the night, and fininsh up Friday morning. Those plans could change. I could leave on Wednesday and spend Wed and Thursday driving up and Mon-Tues driving back. If you leave Houston Wed morning, you should be in the Dallas area...

Merrick, I'm planning on going to Thunder in Muncie this year as well. Maybe we can get a little convoy together for the trip up.

    Door Panels...

Remove the bolt that holds the door handle on (the part you lift to open the door, 10mm I think). Remove the screw behind it, the screw up in the corner by the mirror, and a couple screws at the bottom. Lift up und out. No more push-in fasteners. Be aware of the door lock plunger when you put...

    Shocks?

I have the factory shocks on mine. I've used Rancho's in the past and I've been pleased with them. I'm looking at getting a Kelderman Air Ride system here in the next month or so and they come with Rancho 9000's.

My fix for the weak link lift pump problem

I did the same thing on my 98. I removed the lift pump from its original location and mounted it on the frame rail next to and below the tank. I extended the wiring harness to plug back into the factory plug. Worked fine until the VP44 finally crapped the bed. The "Pusher" pump system that...

    Blow off valve

We're cool. I was totally unaware of the product until I saw the one BD came out with. My problem with them relates to their lack of customer service should I have an issue with their product. Now that I know there are others, I'll look there.

    Maddog's Cummins powered F350

How can I link a video that I have on my computer? I have one where some kids in an Eclipse are running around town with a video camara racing people and pull up next to a red Vette. Turns out it's a Lingenfelter 427TT. Spanks them back to the last county.
