I am alittle anal. I didnt like the stock pads. then last time I wanted better performance and looks so I got cross drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads. That is the way to go!
The 09 TDI is simply great. I test drove the promo cars! I pre ordered a Jetta sport wagan TDI. My dad has an 06 TDI and he loves it to. VW simply the best.
I guess im the fool then for upgrading my brakes... I only have 57k on my truck and I already went with cross drilled and slotted rotors with EBC pads...:dunno
I will tell you this maybe in sin city your brakes will last that long. East coast no way! We have four season snow and salt eat pads plus up and down hills everywhere you go.
I bought my 04 new and have not really done much to it.
Stats...
04 Cummins HO
6 speed manual
57k on the clicker
4" exhaust all the way turbo back
green air filter.
I think I am going to do some mild upgrades. I am asking opinions on the best way to mod my cummins and keep it reliable...
So 4" is plenty enough i am maybe going to put a regular edge on my truck not going propane injection with nitrous and everything....just a nice reliable toy puller....
We have done this before too... You will be suprised what will pull what when the other truck gets a jump. Not too mention if a truck starts out too quickly and burns tire then he is done....
I would say my rock crawler jeep would fair well against most trucks... due to the locked 2.5 ton...
Well I have been dipped and weighed by dot in PA they are pricks to say the least....
I usually tow my rock crawler in the warm months and the snowmobiles in the winter... But my dad wanted me to take his two muscle cars up to michigan for a big car show so we borrowed his buddy 2 place car...
I have had the ujoints replaced in my rear shaft twice already....
I only have 33,000 on my o4
this is alot considering that my rock crawler jeep takes in abuse and I am not replacing them all the time....
