I'm sure Willie is like most of us and likes making money but he also likes the American farmer making some money too. Willie has organized benefits for farmers since 1985.
Use the Napa #4637337 cylinders, they're larger than the Dodge 1 ton and fit perfect. Just give them the number, they don't need to know what it goes on, seems to just confuse them.
I've changed out lots of Dodge 1 ton cylinders to the GM sized cylinders, everyone has been impressed with the...
Joe, what happens when the timer fails is that it supplies power to keep the belts released when even when parked, this is what drains the batteries. You have to "sneak up" on it to check if this is happening by leaving the window open, if the door is opened the belts will release. The key must...
save some hassle
Best to give Piers a call call. Some aftermarket plates, not sure which ones, don't need the arm adjustment. Piers can tell you though.
Very big difference with turbo noise with the TAG. You also get faster spool up and a smoother running engine.
The good folks at DPP will let you send it back for a full refund for the first 30 days.
They haven't had many returns...
I've quit changing over to synthetic PS fluid for the cold weather groans and now use Lube-Guard PS conditioner. Five bucks at any auto parts and you'll never hear the whine again.
212k on my '95 and feel like it's just getting broken in. Besides modifications the only engine work besides regular maintenance has been replacing the rubber fuel hoses, starter contacts and water pump.
The best Optima testimonial comes from a welder friend who has a Red Top on his mobile Lincoln welder. The battery was dropped about five years ago and is missing the entire lower third of the case, been working flawlessly the whole time.
Try that with a lead acid battery!
I won't buy any other type of battery now that I've used Optimas. No corrosion and 100% maintenance free is the reason. Wish I could have back all the hours of my life that I wasted messing with corroded terminals and wiring. I'm running over twenty Red Tops in various trucks, tractors and farm...
No problem running plugged in, in fact the manual for 24 valves recommends it.
I leave my heater plugged in all the time (cheap power) and have gone up to ten days at a time without starting it, still on the stock block heater 210k and eight years later.
Someone told me recently, not sure if I...
If you're going to spend the bucks go with Fleetguard ESXtreme, good for 600k for $13 a premixed gallon.

I did mine and don't intend to ever change the coolant again.
It's blue too!

Your grabbing problem sounds like flash rusting of the drums. It's worse when the weather is humid or raining. About the only thing you can do is be aware of it and take a few gentle stops to clean the rust off before you really need the brakes
Well I guess I'm still waiting after eight years for my seals to fail. I've used silicon spray on my door seals at least four times a year since new as recommended by the owner's manual. My doors have only froze shut when snow melts and refreezes, it's not on the seals but rather on the outside...
Re: Re: Bombing
Think the term goes way back further than that, it's also biker lingo for chopping/modifying a Harley.
I can remember using it in the '60's.
I bet you reach the top of the governed high rpm and it was defueling. It's not so bad when empty but when you reach the top loaded or towing it doesn't feel too good.
I have no doubt the tractor engines can be turned up but are they still used to farm with?
I farm and rather than make a tractor less reliable I'd rather just buy a bigger one. It's too important for me to have a tractor that works when I need it, timing is everything in farming.
Hutchew, you're probably not getting much response because it's one of those things you almost have to see in person to diagnose correctly. It takes very little oil to turn things gunky.
It being a 1st Gen probably doesn't help much either.
Just noticed you have a '98 engine, there is an oil...
