a/c fan upgrade
I had a similar problem in by 90 F250. With the blower on high, you could barely detect some air flow. Turned out to be the A/C evaporator core was completely plugged with dirt and debris. Air goes through the evaporator first, then through the heater core on its way to the cab ducts...- Bob F

C-6 trans. questions
Oh yeah - sometimes the pin stays in the modulator - sometimes it stays in the case. There's nothing holding it there, it is just trapped between the modulator and the valve.- Bob F

A couple of other things to check: It sounds to me like the valve that the modulator controls is not operating correctly. It could be stuck and not moving, or the pin that goes between the valve and the modulator could be missing. When you pull the modulator off, you should see a steel pin...- Bob F

Exhaust System 3"
I read about this site in a thread somewhere - http://www.mandrelbending-tubefabrication.com/truck_exhaust_lightduty.html - look at page LD3. I haven't priced them, but there seem to be very few sources for IDI 3" exhaust systems.- Bob F

ZF 5 help/questions
Clutch Linkage Your shifting difficulties and low pedal are almost certainly due to worn linkage. The Heim joint mod is a great suggestion. I couldn't find a Heim joint locally, but found a 3/8" ID x 1/2" OD bronze bushing at Tractor Supply that fit perfectly into the master cylinder rod loop...- Bob F

Newby - black smoke, no power
After much research, I decided the timing gear had to be off a tooth. Took it all back apart today and put the gear on right. It runs like it is supposed to now.
