Block dimensions
How long is the 6.9L/7.3L from the firewall to the front of the cooling fan? I have not gott on to the junkyard to look at one yet. I am guessing 33".- Huntersbo

7.3L IDI anybody think I can fit it in an early bronco?
I may buy an Early Bronco and would try to get a 7.3 in it. Any reasons not to? I would cut the inner fenders some so I could get to the exaust. Bolt the T-19 up to the dana 20 and adapter. Fullwidth axils under narrow truck vs. full width turck mpgs?
I am considering running 1 ton axils full width under my scout (same width as an early bronco) and comparing the fuel econmy to a full size like 1979 Bronco or F-350 for miles per gallon. jumbo torque 351 W turbo concept
Just an idea that I have never seen propesed! I have a '82 f-150 and I was thinking it is a good set up needing a little tweaking. I get 6-11 mpg running from 1300-3000 rpm and a 50 mph cruise at 2400 rpm. I was thinking that max torqueat 2300 rpm is too high and I do not care that it makes 200...- Huntersbo

T-19 vs. ZF 5 speed?
I am looking at a 7.3 L diesel for my 4x4 scout. I will buy a junk yard engine and tranny and do not want to break my tranny if I turbo the motor. WHat is thought bout these two trannys. I think 4 speeds is enough but If the ZF is stronger which I don't think then mabe I should run one. thanks...- Huntersbo
