I am kinda thinking I might have to pull the ol gasser out so I can see what I have. Would it be a possible I could use the friction plate I have or are we talking different diameters or will I have some clearance issues?- meanmoline

From what I have seen the 7.3 and 6.9 share the same bells, I am just not sure what bell I should be looking for I was hoping there would be an existing 6.9 Clark combo that would work- meanmoline

Just curious if anyone had a good way to find out exactly what trans I have I’m still having trouble running numbers Truck is f70evc85493 trans type is m I’m not happy with the new vin codes seems you need newer stuff to get good numbers on anything arrgh- meanmoline

So keeping with original trans does anyone know if there was an adapter plate for the 6.9 to Clark that would fit 7.3 or adapter plate bell house combo that would work? I’m still leaning hard on a 7.3 idi I have one found, I kinda like the low tech for this rig it needs to be the one that can be...- meanmoline

I’d like to keep the believed Clark 285v I’m not 100 on that is what it is, but the parking brake is on it and it is the original to the truck, I want to keep this swap bell house forward trans back is good.
