Is 11k a lot for one of these trucks?
1990 crewcab 7.3 NA zf5 3.55 Flatbed and 33s here. With my 18x7 trailer, gear, and my crawler loaded up, I’d imagine I’m about 14,500. She’s a dog. Will be adding a factory turbo kit here shortly, no idea how old IP and injectors are. These trucks are bare bones in the power department.- zaroot

I would but I already have 2 sets of 7.3 HGs. One came with a donor truck and the other I purchased prior to understanding the cooling mod. At 7psi of boost and the heaviest load being 7-8k lbs, I think it should be alright. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk- zaroot

Making some progress! #7 is was. Had some coolant and rust in there. Passenger side head was pretty clean. Block is pretty true, machinists straight edge isn’t picking up any variances. Probably have the heads hot tanks and magnifluxed. Check guides, and throw in new valve seals.- zaroot

Wow I wasn’t expecting such a treat with this turbo removal. Super PITA. Still have the round flange where the down pipe connects to get off. I have the old Banks kit, pre SideWinder. Even with all 4 bolts removed from the plate mount on backside of head, I cannot finagle this thing out with the...- zaroot

182k Miles 4x4 10.25 and d50 ttb 3.55 gears 7.3 IDI C6 auto Frame is great, very good for mid Atlantic! Cab and interior are good Bed is below average, has rust and some bondo. Hitch and bumpers are all there Appears to be a 4 or 6 inch lift. Tires all hold air, but look stupid Brakes work...- zaroot

Yeah I guess you’re right, must be a d50 TTB due to the weight rating since it’s a 250HD. Thanks for catching that! Regarding the lift, yeah it’s something huge. Had some 35s on it prior apparently.- zaroot

Ended up grabbing a complete 89 F250 7.3 with a Banks turbo kit. Will be scavenging the turbo setup, but if anyone is interested in the truck itself prior to it hitting the classifieds, I’d take an offer. PM Me. Thanks for the paint number, I will grab some later on when I need oil/coolant/filters. I did some shopping around and got a full HG kit w/ valve cover and exh manifold gaskets, int manifold gasket, and oil cooler gasket/o ring kit for $158 shipped from autopartskart.com. Just going to do the gaskets, as a temp. bandaid would only help me for around town driving, and not the hauling/towing for which I own the truck. Yes it slowly starts to rise coolant level, breaches rim, and eventually bubbles. Not jacuzzi style some others have mentioned, but at 27psi I’m sure it would.- zaroot
