Is it a possibility new injectors and injector pump would help or does this thing need to be rebuilt. Also probably worth noting we had put a new return line kit on a few weeks ago and it ran so smooth it was remarkable but that only lasted about a day and now as opposed to having the one...
Hey my 7.3 89 with banks Turbo has pulled a lot of heavy loads up a steep hill recently. I had a water pump that was leaking like crazy and was unable to get it changed for a while well I've always had significant Blow by but ever since I changed the pump I've noticed a lot of steam or smoke...

I'
Pretty sure this one will Mitsubishi r812468b
Direct driven
But I think the gear driven are faster?
Thank u guys... those are both VERY good suggestions... I guess the only question I got, and determining factor is how do I get replacemenreplacement brushes, and what would they cost?
So when I was getting all the bugs worked out of This truck a few times I cranked on it enough for the starter to be smoking quite a bit... I knew I would eventually have problems... a few weeks ago it was starting slower than I'd like but working... last Saturday it only clicked so I got under...
Ya I was looking at that one... I just want to make sure the threads will fit on my 89 idi.... I didn't specify because of the forum but now that I think of it I don't want to risk it.... so if I get that filter but am only running 9.4 liters will that be an issue?
I am looking for an oil filter, here at Walmart they're only 10 bucks but it is the ph3786 which is for the Powerstroke the filter I need is ph3766 will this filter work anyways?
Hey that is some thorough help guys thank you so much... that really gives me a clearer idea and confidence... dohave a mental idea of what it is I am doing... I don't have much motivation... actually more like discouragement...especially in this cold :) in the mean time the extra noise...
So Jack it up and spin it with my hands? Also the passenger hub is cover in a kind of oil/grease.. I think maybe it is locked would that cause said symptoms? How would I free it?....regrease it?
So I'm hoping that's right, however do you think that is possible despite the fact the symptom is practically only noticeable in fifth gear I may slightly notice it lower gears but I can be going 40 in 5th and notice it clearly
I've noticed that before from you jasper ha... I know there has been times where I posted and instead of clicking on the forum button or navigating some other way If I push back it will erase my post and not confirm it like I never posted it
Ok used 4 wheel drive today for the first time... went great! Turned everything off, unlocked hubs blah blah blah now 5th gear has a whine or humm... can't really explain it... went a while like that but eventually pulled over did the whole reverse 1st several times 4hi 2hi didn't help so...
Hey that sounds like what my friend is experiencing on his similar 99... he said it happens mostly when he shifts in reverse.... my question for you would be how much did the solenoid pack help? If it helped it dramatically I wonder if those didn't go bad again? I have heard on quite a few...
Anyone have a good walkthrough. And a good idea how long it should take to replace an ignition actuator on 99? My friend thinks I can just take the covering off and not remove the wheel so it should only take an hour or two... what are your thoughts guys? He has really helps me out while I have...
