Gasser down, need advice!!
Looks like we got it figured out. I replaced the 02 sensors with Motorcrafts and Viola....no more problems. Although the O/E' are made by Bosch the Orileys Bosch and the NTK's didnt work. Go figure.- Halfpint

Gasser down, need advice!!
I have a stock 97 F250HD 4x4 with a 460, 143K miles. I bought it from my neighbor a year ago who had it for 18 years. A few weeks ago I get a P1151 code. Lean/slow response on upstream 02 sensor. Both upstreams were replaced by me with NTK's when I got the truck as a maintenance/tune up item...- Halfpint

Ouch...or Burrrr is more like it. The Wife did some time in Minot growing up as pops was a military pilot. Out here on the left coast its been cold by our standards with mid 20ies nights and morns. So much for the La Nina mild and warm winter they predicted. Stay warm and dry ;). -

Ah...got it. BTW for Steelheadguy if things dont work out there a few outfits that sell new aftermarket ones for $100 a set of 4. Not sure if there worth a poo but none the less. Depending on the next CC bill I might go that route or just paint the rims black. -

Aye, Fronts dont look bad, the rears are pretty used though as you said. Wait till spring? you have others buried or? Not sure what you mean on that one. -
Oil coming out of manifold
No oil pressure? are you relying on the factory gauge or have you tried plugging in a good graduated gauge at the sender location? Oil comes out the manifold? like pumping out the exhaust manifold? Is the engine a junk yard rehab? stored on its side for years? did you fire it up for just seconds...- Halfpint

Mystery Ford rattle
I Have 2 97's and a 87. Both 97 make a nasty creak in the front end which was killed by tightening up the top rear fender bolts. Another rattle both have is from the large plastic wheel center caps. I recon this only applies if you have the factory alloys with the holes and the big chrome center...- Halfpint

Oil drag?
First off Im not sure what to expect from the truck. Ive had 3 dodges and a old 240D benz in the way of diesels. In 39 years of driving some 250 vehicles :0. Smoke wise a puff of white on start up and very little black with it pegged. I switch around fuel stations and use 2 stroke and/or Diesel...- Halfpint

Oil drag?
Thought this a bit weird today. Same truck, 87 F250 6.9 4x4, same fuel, same weather as last drive to work. I changed the oil draining out the Delvac dino oil 15/40 and refilling with some older stock Detroit branded CI 15/40 that's said to be made with "Delvac technology" Headed home this...- Halfpint

V10 MPG??
I drive a 06 F350 4x4 with a utility bed 80 miles a day. Driving at 75 give or take on the highway the comp shows 11.3 mpg. A tad better than my 97 with the 460 by 2 mpg or so.- Halfpint
