'93 F250 rear harness total mess.....

Months and months ago I started a thread on the condition of my rear taillight and brake harness, I couldn't find it so I'll start over. It's really not repairable, after doing more of an internet search I discovered that my original harness had 2 plugs, 1 for trailer lights and the other for...

    Need you electrical gurus....

My '93 has developed a strange electrical problem. With the park lights on and the right turn signal something is causing a back feed or ground problem that is affecting the fuel solenoid in the IP. The truck will start to buck, jump and lose power, as soon as you turn the turn the park lights...

Swapping to newer model I Beams

The '81 F350 dump needs kingpins and finding another set of "coined" 16" wheels has been fruitless. I took the 16"s off the dump to use on the RV getting rid of it's 16.5" wheels. The 16.5's are on the dump right now to keep it rolling. So here is my question.. Can newer ball joint style I beams...

    Long trip to NC

My dear lovely wife has me leaving on a 1,000 mile trip Sunday. We will be using my mother's '01 F250 7.3l with the E4od trans pulling a 16ft stock trailer. The truck has 141K and had the trans redone about 20-25K miles ago. Not sure why the trans quit Dad back then, think it was a botched trans...

    6.9 or 7.3 swap '81 F350

Ok.... This will be a future project when times allows. I have an '81 F350 that currently has a 351/400M and a T18 trans(4spd, no OD). It's a PTO driven dump so I'd like to keep all that original. I know the 400M has the same bell housing pattern as the 460. Will the current bell housing work...

    I goofed...think I damaged my brake control

In my haste tonight trying to get the trailer ready for a trip Friday morn I goofed and wire the trailer plug wrong. I accidently wired the blue brake wire to the running lights from the truck, I had the plug reversed. The taillights worked but were dim and the red light was on on the brake...

Back to fix the fuel leaks....

As most of y'all know I recently installed Moose Jr. and Moose Mate injectors. Some of the original hard lines were not sealing to the new pump due to deep imprints (wear marks) in the ferrules. I replaced #1 and #3 hard lines a couple of weeks ago and haven't had a chance to see what else was...

    Rear tail lamp wiring harness..

Long before I got the "beast" someone used those worst ever designed quick splices to add a trailer plug in the bed, not to mention the very end of the harness where the tail lamp plug and trailer harness were. Looks like someone put a chunk of C4 in the harness back there. I have to pull the...

    Trailer electric brake shoe adjustment..

I've been building a 24ft gooseneck style stock trailer, the axles have new shoes, the drums in good shape. What's the method on getting the shoe adjustment equal on all four wheels?

    Trip to Tulsa....

Drove the '93 to Tulsa yesterday morn pulling the 16ft stock trailer, animals and gear, maybe 5k weight. Was very pleased with the response from the motor with the new parts. Speed limit was 75, but I ran 65-70 so I could keep an eye on things. I was disappointed in the fuel mileage, 11.1 mpg...

    Oil filter

Changing the oil, I was in a hurry and grabbed an FL1995 filter(which was next to the FL784), mine is supposed to use the FL784. Will the FL1995 work or do I have a trip back into town in my future??

The old '77 E350 motorhome has 16.5's on it. I was going to swap and put the 16's from my '81 F350 dump on it. If anyone has a set of 6 or 7 coined wheels lemme know....Thanks

I guess I should have replaced....

First off I love the Moose Jr. and the "BB" injectors from Conestoga !!!! The truck starts and runs great.. I don't have to try and push the pedal through the floor to get down the road anymore. As I mentioned the other day I had a couple of injector lines leaking at the pump. I got the 2 new...

    OK...Need help QUICK!!!!

As a lot of y'all suggested I am taking the pump out with the lines attached. Now this is an 1993 ATS(I believe)7.3l factory turbo engine. I can't get enough rearward movement of the pump/line assy to clear the unit from the drive housing. Anymore and I will bend the lines on the right side...

Got home from work Friday night late and the box with my Moose pump and injectors had arrived! I had a honey do already planned for Saturday, so Sunday is the day.. perfect weather... I've read and reread all the info sent from Conestoga and can't wait to start in the morn. I do have a couple of...

Had a thought while waiting for the new parts to arrive.........

Last year the wife and I purchased a 1977 E350 Holiday Rambler RV. It's lower miles at 78K with the 460cid/C6 auto. There is nothing wrong with the 460 other than the typical exhaust leak. So to my thought... Has anyone put a 6.9 or 7.3 non turbo in the front of a '77 E350. Wondering if the...

New Moose Jr pump and Moose mate injectors

Placed an order with the folks at Conestoga Diesel late last week and I am eager to receive the new Moose Jr. pump and the Moose mate injectors. I have worked to vehicles most of my life but with this being my first diesel I was nervous about doing the work myself. Talked with a couple of the...

Gauge cluster swap and now not charging

I'm sure this has been covered before ,but think I have a new twist on the subject. I purchased 1993 f250 4WD IDI turbo, 5 spd manual tranny. When I bought the truck the tach was not working, replaced the tach sensor and then I noticed that someone put a gasser cluster in it, everything worked...
