Looking for: '85 E350 6.9 Air induction "hose"

The air intake hose that I got from rockcrawler101 will not fit. The Van/bus take a hose that is longer and is not round. It is an oval shape except for the ends which are round one end and rectangle on the other. The hose has a part number cast into it. E4UA-9B676-AC. If anyone has this hose...

    Help please!!

Just a couple of thoughts. You still have a fuel starving problem with no idea as to why. I have to agree that changing the engine will solve nothing, since your not getting the proper amount of fuel delivery. Check/replace the schrader valve in the fuel filter housing. A strong fuel pump...

    7.3 Glow plug system idea

I put in a push button in my 6.9 system 18 years ago. Never looked back. If one GP goes kaput, I can still start he engine. I do a 15 second count and then hit the starter.

    '85 E350 6.9 A/C not working questions

The A/C is no longer working in this van/bus. I've read here a little about vacuum leaks and the sort. I could use a lay out of the vacuum lines of the engine. I do not have a service manual on the engines A/C. I do have the Ford install pamphlet but it only covers the air ducts and condenser...

Looking for: '85 E350 6.9 Air induction "hose"

rockcrawler_101 that sounds like what I need. What I have done is to revive a kennel on wheels that I used for many years to rescue Greyhounds. I had to put it in storage, as work took all of my free time. The "Doghead" fire here in my town in NM burned many miles of land and homes. Several...

Looking for: '85 E350 6.9 Air induction "hose"

I'm trying to find a replacement air induction "hose" going to the air cleaner for my 1985 E350 6.9 engine. Mine is just dry/heat brittle. Used in serviceable condition would be fine. Mods I'm not sure where to ask this question. Thanks for any info or leads.

    Which transmission do I have?

1985/86 Ford / Diamond E350 "buss". I'm having trouble finding out what three speed automatic transmission this buss has. There is no overdrive. The buss can do 75 with no problem fully loaded. Since Diamond did the conversion to the half cab rolling chassis, I'm not sure what they did besides...

    '85 6.9 sitting for a very long time,won't start.

I spent nine hours today going over every inch of the many fuel and return lines. I found the Racor filter had a bad air leak at the drain valve. Every time I cranked the engine air bubbles were sucked in past the rubber bushing. I noticed fuel dripping from around the valve. Once the suction...

    '85 6.9 sitting for a very long time,won't start.

After the thunderstorms rolled in this afternoon I stopped work on the bus. I was going through the buses box of goodies that came with it back in '95. Low and behold there was one of the square 12 VDC oscillating Diesel fuel pumps. I will check to see is a fuse is blown, and then try to find...

    '85 6.9 sitting for a very long time,won't start.

I put ten gallons of Diesel in the front tank today. I disconnected the lift pump suction line to see if Diesel would flow out. No. I then put a two gallon container of Diesel under the front bumper with a hose going to the suction line. It took several cranking tries to get it to fire. ( yes...

    '85 6.9 sitting for a very long time,won't start.

I checked the rubber line coming from the S/S line from the tank,it looks good. I will try to remove it from the S/S line and see if I get fuel either from gravity or if I put a suction pump on to it. This will rule out a clogged tank line. If I get free flowing fuel, then I'll try to ascertain...

My first post here. I'm not new to this 1985 Ford / Diamond E350 Bus. I bought it for a buck 16 years ago from a mobile X-Ray company. The bus was on its third engine with a million miles on the frame. This bus is built like a tank and weighs well over 14,00 pounds. Tag axle, air springs. I...
